The '85 Oldsmobile which sat between Olin Hall and the JAR arena was there for a reason. Theta Chi
had towed it there to help raise money for the Red Cross.
The event raised an estimated $400 for the cause.
The car was named "Bash-a-Flash" and was spray painted blue and gold to represent the colors of Kent State.
Students, faculty, and even Akron Police were invited to take a swing at the De-glassed beauty.
The car was donated by Ron Spicer.
"It was my ex-girlfriend's car. It sat out for six months before I decided what to do with it," Spicer said.
A fee of one dollar was required to take control of a variety of destruction instruments for as long as one's arms would hold up.
"You can't get better therapy for a buck," Adam Fazio said. They plan to hold another session closer to finals week under the name
"Exam Slam."
